Product Name Product Character Product Application Details
Erythritol Dinitrate Sulfate (BiDTD)

1. Molecular Formula: C₄H₆O₈S₂; Molecular Weight: 246.22 g/mol

2. CAS No.: 292082-37-2

3. Appearance: White crystalline powder or colorless crystals

4. Melting Point: Approximately 160–170 °C (higher than that of monoethylene sulfate)

5. Solubility: Freely soluble in common organic solvents for lithium batteries such as carbonates and ethers; slightly soluble in water; insoluble in alkane solvents

6. Stability: Stable at room temperature; starts to decompose when heated above 200 °C; readily hydrolyzes under strong alkaline conditions to form erythritol and sulfate

1. Lithium-Ion Battery Electrolyte Additive (Core Application)

- SEI Film Optimization: Adding a small amount (0.5–2.0%) can form a superior SEI protective layer on the surfaces of positive and negative electrodes, preventing oxidative decomposition of the electrolyte under high voltage, and improving cycle stability and rate performance of the battery.

- Side Reaction Suppression: Reduces side reactions between the electrolyte and electrode materials, lowers the self-discharge rate of the battery, and extends service life.

- High-Temperature Performance Improvement: Significantly reduces capacity fading and volume expansion of the battery after storage at high temperatures (above 60°C), enhancing battery safety.

- Applicable Battery Types: Ternary material (NCM/NCA) batteries, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, high-nickel batteries, solid-state batteries, etc. Particularly suitable for high-end power batteries for new energy vehicles and energy storage batteries.

2. Organic Synthesis Intermediate

- Used in the synthesis of functional materials containing bicyclic sulfate structures, such as ionic liquids, polymer electrolytes, surfactants, etc.

- As a bifunctional sulfonating agent, it is applied in the preparation of symmetric bissulfonyl compounds for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and pesticides.

3. Other Applications

- Used as a modification material for electrochemical sensors to improve their sensitivity and stability.

- Applied in the preparation of high-performance proton exchange membranes for fuel cells.
