Lead tank car shall be used to transport 98% concentrated nitric acid, while dilute nitric acid shall be transported by stainless steel or FRP reinforced plastic tank car. The package shall be marked with “corrosive substance” obviously. Aluminum is an ideal container for nitric acid because there is an oxide film on the surface of aluminum, which plays a role of passivation and is economical. Personal protection shall be carried out and it’s strictly prohibited to contact with the skin directly. In addition, acid alkali resistant gloves, mask and other labor protection articles should be worn during the operation.

Product Application

As the essential raw materials of nitrate and nitric acid ester, nitric acid is used to prepare a series of nitrate nitrogen fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, etc. It’s also used to prepare nitric acid ester or nitro-containing explosives.
